Rules of conduct
OF THE TRADITIONAL RALLY-RIDE RAF COMPETITION
«OPEN OFF-ROAD ATV&SSV CROSS-COUNTRY RALLY SERIES CAN-AM X RACE 2018»
1. GENERAL REGULATIONS.
1.1. The following General Rules (hereinafter referred as RAF General Rules) define the order of organization and conduct of the Traditional rally-ride RAF competition «Open off-road ATV&SSV cross-country rally series Can-Am X Race 2018» (hereinafter referred as Can-Am X Race series).
1.2. The regulating documents of the competition are:
• Unified Russian Sport Classification;
• The Russian Register of Types of Sport (RRTS);
• Sport Code of Russian Automotive Federation;
• The general principles of organization and conducting of Championships, Competitions and Cups of Russia, Competitions and Cups of the territorial entities of the RF; Championships, Competitions, Cups, Trophies and Series of RAF, as well as International competitions held on the territory of Russian Federation (General Principles);
• Rules of cross-country rally competitions (effective RCCRC);
• Classification and Technical Requirements to the cars participating in sport competitions (C and TR);
• Appendix «J» МСК FIA;
• The following RAF General Rules;
• Additional (separate) Rules of the stages.
1.3. The stages of Can-Am X Race ATV&SSV cross-country rally series are held as traditional competitions, included with the corresponding status into the Calendar plan of the sport events of Russian Automotive Federation (RAF calendar).
1.4. The number of the Stages is defined by the RAF calendar and these Rules. Any changes to the Calendar shall be published no later than 1 month before the final application date.
1.6. All decisions made by the Organizing committee that influence the rules of classification or otherwise affect the interests of all or some participants are subject to compulsory publication in the form of bulletins.
1.7. The rights to publish the Compulsory and Non-compulsory advertising belong to Formula 7 JSC. Any additional advertising that is not related to p. 9.2. of RAF Rules can be placed on SSV or ATV only after the approval of Formula 7 JSC.
2. CONDITIONS OF ORGANIZATION.
2.1. Within the RAF structure the organization of Can-Am X Race series is delegated to the Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series, created by the decision of Formula 7 JSC (TIN 5007090115 ОГРН1145007001336). The Organizing Committee works jointly with RAF Committee on rally rides.
2.2. To hold the competition the Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series interacts with the RAF sport vehicles Committee and the Board of Officers and Judges of automotive sports as well as with the corresponding Regional sections of RAF and direct organizers (technical organizers) of the stages of Can-Am X Race series.
2.3. The Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series is entitled to make any decisions regarding the organization and execution of Can-Am X Race series that are defined by these RAF General Rules as pertaining to its competence, including the following decisions:
■ Appointment of the Main Board of Judges of the stages of Can-Am X Race series;
■ Appointment of the inspections controlling the preparation of the stages of Can-Am X Race series;
■ Generation of proposals regarding the date changes or cancellation of the stages of Can-Am X Race;
■ Any other decisions provisioned by this Rules of RAF,
2.4. All decisions of the Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series that influence the rules of classification or otherwise affect the interests of all or some participants are subject to compulsory publication in the form of bulletins.
2.5. The Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series appoints the Secretary of the Can-Am X Race series. The Secretary of Can-Am X Race series ensures publication of:
■ Informational letters of the Organizing Committee of Can-Am X Race series;
■ Current and final classifications of both each stage and Can-Am X Race series in general at the official Can-Am X Race website www.canamxrace.ru within 10 days after the approval of the final protocol of the competition.
2.6. The right to make final decisions on all issues related to sport regulatory activities at the Can-Am X Race series is given to the Board of Sport Commissioners.
3. COMPETITION NOMENCLATURE.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO ORGANIZATION OF THE STAGES OF THE SERIES.
3.1. Can-Am X Race series is held in 3 stages. The stage is deemed void in case if less than 10 teams participated (total number of teams).
3.2. Dates and location of the stages of Can-Am X Race series.

3.3. Can-Am X Race series is conducted in the form of personal classification of competitors in the following groups and classes:
3.3.1. Absolute classification among all teams of ATV and SSV groups.
3.3.2. ATV group:
■ class ATV — individual classification.
3.3.3. SSV group:
■ SSV Standard class — personal classification for the primary drivers (pilots) and secondary drivers (co-pilots);
■ SSV Sport class — personal classification for the primary drivers (pilots) and secondary drivers (co-pilots);
■ SSV Super Sport class — personal classification for the primary drivers (pilots) and secondary drivers (co-pilots);
3.3.4. Each stage will hold the competition in Adventure group — among the teams, without awarding points in the final table of the season.
3.4. At the discretion of the organizer of the stage different awards can be announced for ladies, participating in the competition. The order and conditions of these awards shall be approved by the Organizing committee of the Can-Am X Race series.
3.5. The stages of Can-Am X Race are held by the Organizing committee of the series. The applications for the competitions are accepted and included in accordance with the established procedure to the RAF calendar.
3.6. The order and conditions in regards to the distribution of responsibilities for expenses related to stages of Can-Am X Race, including the expenses for inspections and work of the Board of Judges, are defined by the decision of the Organizing committee of the series.
3.7. Stages of other competitions can be held simultaneously with the stages of Can-Am X Race only upon approval of the Organizing committee of the series. Additional (Sectional) Rules of the competition shall include the information about such combination.
3.8. Each stage of Can-Am X Race is held in accordance with the Additional (Sectional) Rules of the competition, prepared by the Organizing committee of the series.
Additional (Sectional) Rules of the competition shall meet the requirements of RAF Sport Code, RCCRC and this RAF Rules.
3.9. Along with the Rules of the competition, the Manager of the race shall present to the Organizing committee of the series all major materials of the Safety Plan of the competition, route plan and the preliminary Road book no later than 1 month before the start of the competition.
3.10. After publishing at the official website and approval by the accredited regional RAF federation, any changes to the Additional (Sectional) Rules can be introduced only in the form of bulletins, published by the Organizing committee of the series (before the start of the competition) or Sport Commissioners (during the competition).
3.11. All stages of Can-Am X Race 2018 will be held in the form of Baja, herewith:
■ the length of Prologue, SS1 shall be no less than 1 km, but no more than 10 km.
■ the length of each SS shall be no more than 100 km.
■ the intermediate service and refueling points shall be obligatorily set up each 90 — 100 km of the trail.
3.12. Recommended timetable of the stages of Can-Am X Race:
■ 1st day, Friday. Administrative and technical checks, official opening ceremony;
■ 2nd day, Saturday, SS1 (Prologue), regrouping, 2 — 4 SSs with total length up to 400 km;
■ 3rd day, Sunday, 2 — 4 SSs with total length up to 400 km, SSVs/ATVs are parked at the closed parking lot, stage awards ceremony;
■ Final Can-Am X Race 2018 series awards will take place at the final press-conference. Time and location of the press-conference will be announced later.
3.13. In case several SSs will take place during one day on the same trails, in full or partially, a regrouping shall take place after each SS using the method of channel multiplexing.
3.14. EACH PARTICIPANT IS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CALCULATION OF FUEL CONSUMPTION ON SPECIAL SECTIONS.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES THE PARTICIPANTS CAN ISSUE COMPLAINS AGAINST ORGANIZERS IN CASE THEIR ATV CANNOT COVER THE MINIMAL LENGTH, STATED IN A ROAD BOOK, IRRESPECTIVELY TO THE TYPE OF ROAD SURFACE.
10% FUEL ALLOWANCE IS MANDATORY DUE TO SECURITY REASONS.
3.15. SPECIAL STAGES SHALL NOT BE USED FOR ADVENTURE CATEGORY. The major factor defining the results in this category is not the speed of movement, but strictness of compliance with the given conditions that do not contradict with the acting Driving Regulations of Russian Federation.
3.16. The order of completing the starting register for the stages of Can-Am X Race series:
3.16.1. At the first stage of the Can-Am X Race series the Teams start the Prologue (SS1) by classes in accordance with rating statements in the final table of Can-Am X Race 2017 or the List of priorities of Can-Am X Race series (Appendix 1 to these Rules) considering the class of the vehicle. The decision is made by the Organizing committee of the series. The starting order of all other teams is defined by the drawing, with consideration of the Class the vehicle participates in. The rating of SSV team is defined by the rating position of the pilot;
3.16.2. The start on the subsequent stages of Can-Am X Race is given to:
■ for the participants that have earned points at Can-Am X Race — in accordance with the current rating of the participant (pilot for SSV class) in the final table of the Series and within the class the vehicle is attributed to;
■ for the participants that haven’t earned any points at Can-Am X Race — starting order is decided at the draw.
3.17. The order of assigning the starting numbers at the stages of Can-Am X Race shall be defined by the Organizing committee of the series.
3.18. For security purposes it is recommended to use the system of electronic control to visually monitor the movement of the teams along SSs at the stages of Can-Am X Race.
4. APPLICANTS AND PILOTS. THE LIST OF PRIORITIES AT CAN-AM X RACE SERIES.
4.1. Applicants of each Stage of Can-Am X Race are legal or physical entities that have acting Licenses of Applicants, issued by RAF, or physical entities-drivers that have RAF Pilot Licenses no less than «E» category, who had advised competitors for participation or applied as direct participants of any stage of Can-Am X Race, and possessing the ATV/SSV driving license.
4.2. The following persons are allowed to participate in the series of Can-Am X Race:
4.2.1 Competitors in possession of valid RAF Pilot Licenses no less than «E» category;
4.2.2. Competitors in possession of valid International License, issued by any ASN — FIA member, under the condition that the possessor of the License is a citizen of Russia.
4.2.3. Competitors and Applicants — citizens of other countries in possession of valid International License, issued by any ASN — FIA member. The order of point awarding to international participants is regulated by the decision of the Organizing committee of the series.
4.3. Prizewinners (pilots) of at least two stages of the previous year in Absolute classification are included into the Can-Am X Race priority list for the period of one year. The teams that include pilot from the priority list are allowed to participate only in Absolute classification.
4.4. The Applicant bears joint responsibility for the actions taken by the registered drivers and co-pilots, their representatives, passengers, guests and mechanics as well as other persons used by this Applicant to support participation of the registered competitors in the competition. The pilot and co-pilot of the team bear responsibility for the actions taken by all persons used by the team to support their participation in the competition.
4.5. Team composition in different Classifications:
■ ATV class — 1 competitor on 1 ATV;
■ SSV class — 2 competitors on 1 SSV;
■ Adventure class — 1 pilot on 1 ATV or SSV and passengers in accordance with the number of seats, defined by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
4.6. TOTAL NUMBER OF TEAMS (ATV + SSV) at each stage of Can-Am X Race is limited – NO MORE THAN 80 UNITS (excluding the Adventure group).
4.6.1. Total number of teams (units) in Adventure group — no more than 30 units.
5. APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION FEES.
5.1. The final date when the Organizing committee of the series accepts applications for the Can-Am X Race series shall be set up no later than the final date of the administrative check for this stage. The applications that are not supported by the registration fee are deemed preliminary. Publication of the team in the list of participants of Can-Am X Race series at the official website www.canamxrace.ru shall be considered as a fact of acceptance of the application.
5.2. The submission of the application shall be followed with the payment of the application fee.
5.3. The applications received after the final date can be conditionally accepted by the Organizing committee of the Can-Am X Race series.
5.4. The amount of the basic application fee for one team for all stages of Can-Am X Race series is defined by the Organizing committee of the series and cannot exceed:
5.4.1. For the Applicants in Absolute class and ATV and SSV groups (from one team member, irrespectively of the brand of the vehicle):

5.4.2. For the Applicants in Adventure class (from one vehicle):

5.5. The application fee for each sport vehicle includes the expenses of the Organizing committee of the series and the Organizing committee of the stage for:
■ Route preparation;
■ Organization of judging system;
■ Safety and security arrangements;
■ Medical support;
■ Catering services for the participating competitors;
■ Branded clothing for the participating competitors;
■ Production and distribution of Road book (1 copy);
■ Production and distribution of competition logo;
■ Production and distribution of stickers with starting numbers;
■ Production and distribution of stickers with mandatory advertising;
■ Production and distribution of stickers with non-mandatory advertising;
■ Production and distribution of passes for 1 service car and 1 following car.
5.6. The acceptance of application fees shall be completed upon approaching the maximal allowed number of units, stated in p. 4.6 of these Rules.
5.7. Each Applicant that had sent an application for participation at the stage of Can-Am X Race and could not take part in the competition, shall send written notification to the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, stating his refusal to participate in the stage and explanation of the cancellation reason no later than the final application date.
5.8. The Organizer of the series shall return (partially) the application fee in case if the Applicant could not take part in the competition due to reasonable reason accepted by the decision of the Organizing committee of the series, or if the Applicant had sent written notification to the application address and informed the Organizer about his impossibility to participate in the competition with no reason given. In this case the Organizer keeps part of the fee:
5.8.1. 25% — in case the information was sent more than 20 days before the start of the administrative checks;
5.8.2. 50% — in case the information was sent more than 15 days before the start of the administrative checks;
5.8.3. 100% — in case the information was sent less than 10 days before the start of the administrative checks.
5.9. The application fees for the competition shall be returned in full:
■ to the participants, whose applications have been declined by the Organizing committee;
■ to all participants in case the competition was canceled.
5.10. The Organizer of the series will consider only the cases that arose due to force-majeure reasons or acts of God. All other reasons: breakage of the vehicles, loss of the registration documents or driving license, state numbers etc. — shall not be considered as a valid reason and shall be declined by the Organizing committee of the stage without transferring for consideration to the Organizing committee of the series.
5.11. To provide ecological safety the Organizing committee of the series is entitled to charge Returnable Ecological Fee (REF) from the vehicle that is announced to be located on the territory of the Bivouac of the competition. The fee will be returned after the corresponding check of the territory of the Bivouac after the end of the competition.
5.12. In SSV group it is allowed to change the second team member (co-pilot) only before the start of the Administrative checks. The replacement of the second member of the team can be done only under the approval of the Organizing committee of the series. This approval shall be confirmed in written form. It becomes inherent part of the Application. The copy shall be handed out to the Applicant against receipt.
5.13. In Adventure class the Applicant is entitled to change the number of passengers in any day of the competition, but all passengers shall be listed in the application form.
5.14. The Applicant has the right to replace the announced vehicle without any limitations to another one that belongs to the same class and group, before the start of Administrative checks.
5.15. IT IS PROHIBITED TO CHANGE THE PILOT IN ATV, SSV AND ADVENTURE CLASS AFTER THE INCLUSION OF THE ANNOUNCED COMPETITOR TO THE PRELIMINARY LIST OF THE ACCEPTED COMPETITORS AND PAYMENT OF THE APPLICATION FEE.
5.16. In case the sport vehicle, presented to Technical Inspection, is not matching the requirements of the Classification group it was announced to, the Manager of the competition upon approval of the Committee of Sport Commissioners is entitled to:
5.16.1. Transfer it to another classification group or class.
5.16.2. Exclude the vehicle from the competition (in case it is not matching the Technical Rules) — in this case the Application fee will not be returned.
6. SPORT VEHICLES.
6.1. Sport vehicles, allowed to compete at the stages of Can-Am X Race series, are the vehicles, prepared in accordance with the Technical Rules to the sport vehicles (Application 2 to these Rules), with exception of Adventure group.
7. SAFETY AND ROUTE PROGRESS CONTROL.
7.1. GPS tracker — satellite monitoring device, installed by the Organizing committee of the Can-Am X Race series at the participating sport vehicle. The devise records the GPS track of the vehicle and registers the fact of passing through the control points of the route in accordance with the Road book. Upon reaching the control point the WPE/WPS device reports to the team and to the organizer of the monitoring that the vehicle has reached the control point of the route. www.canamxrace.ru.
The team is obliged to proceed to SS along the planned route in accordance with the Road book. When moving along the SS the Team has to move though all Control points (WPE), (WPS), (DZ), (FZ) and (СP), following their sequence in accordance with the Road book for this SS. As soon as the Team reaches the scoring zone of the Control point, they get a confirmation that the Control point is achieved. All other visits to this control point will not be registered.
7.2. SOS sign/SOS button — in case of emergency at SS or in other cases to call for medical help on a trail, the Team has to press the SOS button and keep it pressed for the period of no less than 5 seconds and place the SOS sign on the vehicle or on the nearest object by the road. By doing so the device prepares the report to the headquarters of the race and sends the signal via GSM cell network and also repeats the message via GPRS channel (Internet) to the organizer website. The report contains the following information: Team number, first and last name of the pilot, position coordinates where SOS signal came from.
Upon receiving the signal the headquarters of the race process it and confirm the receipt of the signal to the Team — within 30 seconds all LED indicators on control panel of the device are flashing. Simultaneously the headquarters of the race call the Team via cell phone, specified in the application form for the series, in order to define the character and the reason of the call for medical help. After that the security team together with paramedics come to provide first medical aid to the Team.
First arriving Team is required to stop by the affected team if there is no OK sign on the vehicle and check whether the help is needed. The team has to provide first aid to the injured and wait for the arrival of safety team with paramedics. The team has to press SOS button on THEIR SMM device. Upon arrival to the Bivouac, by the decision of the Manager of the race, the time of the forced stop for providing first aid to the injured shall be detracted from their sport time in accordance with the track records of their GPS SMM device. The forced stop time will be taken into account only for two teams: a) for the first team stopped to provide first aid, b) for the team, participating in information transfer to the Organizers. This procedure shall not be applied to other Teams.
In case there is no cell phone coverage in the region of SOS call, or the confirmation from the headquarters was not received by any other reason, the Team shall mark their location with position number in the Road book and transfer the data with the next Team to the nearest Judges Point.
In case the team had received from the organizers the satellite radio-beacon for SOS signals in locations where cellular connection is not available, the team has to send the SOS signal by pressing the SOS button on the “InReach” device and keep it pressed for 5 seconds.
Upon arrival of the medical team to the location of the accident for first aid to the Team, the SOS signal shall be switched off by pressing the SOS button again and keeping it pressed for 5 seconds and releasing the button when the indicator on the device starts flashing.
7.3. OK sign — the Team has to put the OK sign on their vehicle or on the nearest object near the road in case the vehicle got broken and the team does not require medical help. By doing so the Team has to free up the roadway in case the broken vehicle can detain the passage of other competitors.
7.4. Impulse (recording of the control track of SS and liaison). In accordance with the mode of constant GPS recording, the SMM device automatically records the team track with 1 impulse/1 second interval at the Special Stages and liaisons.
7.5. DZ – start of the speed control zone, marked in the Road book.
Maximum allowed speed limit is stated in this section of the Road Book for this specific section of the road. FZ – finish of the speed control zone, marked in the Road book.
Exceeding speed limit in the control zone. The violation of speed limit is considered as exceeding the defined speed limit one or several times within one speed control zone, defined by DZ and FZ points. Each speed violation shall be penalized. The working range of DZ or FZ control points is equal to 90 meters.
7.6. Way Points: WPE (Hidden Way Point) – Mandatory Way Point that is entered into the memory of GPS SMM device and marked in the Road Book. GPS coordinates of the Way Point are not disclosed to the teams. The working range of WPE Way Point is equal to 200 meters.
WPS (Security Way Point) – Mandatory Way Point of the security zone that is entered into the memory of GPS SMM device and marked in the Road Book. GPS coordinates of the Way Point are not disclosed to the Teams. The Way Point can mark the higher risk zone, roads crossing, gas pipe line, rail road etc. The working range of WPS Way Point is equal to 90 meters. Start and finish of the SS are marked with WPS Way Points,
7.7. CP — control points are marked with two flags. Judges’ marks are located before the flags at the entrance to the control point — «yellow background stamps» signal that the Teams shall pass the Judges point on the move, without getting marks. The Team shall pass the CP strictly in the direction of vehicle motion in accordance with the instructions in Road book. It is PROHIBITED to pass the CP in reverse direction against the official direction of vehicle motion. The fact of passing the CP is recorded by the Judges, The errors in passing the CP shall be penalized.
7.8. All stages of the Can-Am X Race series have the following maximal speed limits:
7.8.1. At Special Stages for ATV category — 120 km/hour.
7.8.2. At Special Stages for SSV Standard, SSV Sport and SSV Super Sport – 140 km/hour.
7.8.3. At liaisons (for all classes and groups) — 90 km/hour.
7.8.4. At Bivouac — 20 km/hour.
7.9. Exceeding the speed limit, recorded by the GPS SMM device shall be penalized in accordance with the penalization table.
7.10. For the first two teams that have been providing the first aid to the injured team (p. 14.7 of the Rules) or that have been removing the obstacle that had completely blocked the passage through the Special Stage (p. 20.15 of the Rules), affected by these circumstances, the time spent for first aid/ passage clearance shall be compensated upon the Team claim. To define the time spent, organizers can take into account the records of the monitoring devices, provided by the organizers, records of on-board cameras, GPS navigator records and other possibilities that can help define the downtime.
7.11. Voluntary shut-off/non switch-on of the GPS SMM device shall be penalized in accordance with the penalization table. During the competition the Teams are ALLOWED to use only official route control devices GPS SMM device and devices, listed in the Rules of the stage. Usage of other GPS systems and devices is PROHIBITED. The Team is responsible for correct work of the GPS SMM device, provided by the Organizer, for the whole duration of the competition. The device shall be switched on for the whole duration of the competition, with power and antenna connected for the duration of the whole series. In case the infringements are detected, the technical specialist in GPS monitoring systems shall record them in the control card and notifies the Team against signature and the manager of Judges Board. After this technical specialist shall pass one copy of the card to the Team, the second copy to the Chief Judge (Manager of the competition) and Chief Secretary of the competition. The refusal to sign the card by the member of the Team who was offered the card shall be penalized. In case of breakage of the device it shall be replaced.
7.12. All stages of Can-Am X Race series have identical rules of passage through the speed control zones:
7.12.1. In the zones, marked as speed control zones, the speed limit for the Teams, both in the Special Stages and liaisons, is set equal to 30, 50 or 90 km/h. In case of violation of this requirement the Team shall be penalized in accordance with the penalization table.
7.12.2. The Teams shall choose their speed in accordance with the density of population and intensity of traffic.
7.12.3. Limited speed zones shall be marked in the Road book by DZ signs (start of the speed control zone) and FZ (end of speed control zone).
7.12.4. In case the speed limit is exceeded in the speed control zone, GPS SMM device will flash the «MAX km/h» LED indicator and record the data into the internal memory. The frequency of the recording impulse is equal to 150 meters. In case if the speed control zone consists out of 2 sequential zones with different maximum allowed speed limits, the maximal allowed speed in the range of 90 m around the entrance waypoint into the second zone will be considered as maximal allowed speed for these two sections. In case of lowering the speed the entrance within the radius of 90 m around the waypoint denotes the start of braking area.
7.12.5. In case the Team contests the lodged violation, they are entitled to raise the claim addressed to the Manager of the competition no later than 30 minutes after the publication of penalization. In case the violation was recorded on the last SS of the competition or on the liaison, the time of submitting the claim shall not exceed 30 minutes after the publication of preliminary results of the last SS to conduct the checks of the GPS monitoring device.
7.13. Speed limit on liaisons,
7.13.1. Irrespectively of the location of speed control zones, speed limit control shall be administered along the entire length of the liaison with exception of special cases, listed in the corresponding attachment to the Additional (Sectional) Rules or Road book.
7.13.2. At liaisons the frequency of the recording impulse of the GPS SMM device recorder is equal to 500 m.
In case more than 3 consequent impulses are recorded, upon the decision of the Manager of the race, the penalization can be applied to the Team, up to elimination from the competition. Any repeated violation shall also be penalized up to elimination from the competition.
7.14. At the beginning of each day of the competition (or after the Prologue), due to security reasons, the Committee of Sport Commissioners is entitled to change the starting order of the Team that includes the pilot from FIA, RAF priority list or from Can-Am X Race series priority list to a higher position upon the application of the Team, lodged within 30 minutes after the publication of the results of the previous day (or Prologue). No other applications regarding the change of starting order will not be considered.
8.1. The last and first names (initials) of the Participants as well as national flags shall be presented on both sides of the vehicle on front fenders or on the doors. Dimensions of the sign: Type height 30 — 50 mm — for the last names and names (initials), the height of the flag — 30 — 50 mm. In case both drivers represent the same country one flag can be used with the height of 60 mm. Absence of any aforesaid elements during the course of competition can lead to penalties levied on participants in accordance with the penalization table.
8.2. The Organizers are entitled to use identification bracelets and vests to identify the members of the Teams on stages of Can-Am X Race.
9.1. The participating ATV/SSV of can carry any advertising or symbols in case the following conditions are met:
■ This type of advertising does not contradict with the legislation of Russian Federation and Advertising law;
■ The advertising and symbols take only those spaces that are assigned for advertising of the teams;
■ This advertising does not contradict the decorum and traditions;
■ The advertising does not express political or/and religious opinion.
The Participant with the vehicle that does not meet the before mentioned conditions shall not be allowed to start until the violation is eliminated.
9.2. The areas that are assigned for compulsory advertising and symbols of the Organizers are defined in accordance with «Official stickers and advertising layout chart» Appendix 3 to the current Rules.
9.3. The Participants with dirty compulsory advertising, symbols, identifications and starting numbers shall not be allowed to start the Special Stage.
9.4. The refusal to place the Compulsory advertising of the Organizer will lead to the additional increase of the Application fee for the amount of the STANDARD application fee from each Team.
9.5. The logos of any other competitions on the surface of participating ATV/SSV vehicles are prohibited. The infringement of this requirement shall lead to penalization for the amount of 100% of the Standard Application fee.
10. SCORING PROCEDURE
10.1. The scoring of the competitors by the end of Can-Am X Race series shall be defined in the following order:
10.1.1. The final classification result of the competitor of Can-Am X Race 2018 is the sum of all results for all stages, measured in points.
The result of each competitor (both the first and the second driver) in his group in personal classification is calculated as a sum of points, earned on each stage, multiplied by the stage weight.
10.1.2. In case two or more competitors get equal score in the final protocol of Can-Am X Race Series, the priority will be given to the competitor that got higher position during the First stage.
10.1.3. In case if the competitors are still equal the priority will be given in accordance with the results of their last personal meeting at the next stages of Can-Am X Race.
10.2. The scoring of the competitors by the end of the stage of Can-Am X Race series shall be defined in the following order:
10.2.1. Sport and penalty time is calculated in hours, minutes and seconds.
The choice of time keeping equipment is the responsibility of Can-Am X Race series Organizing Committee.
The final stage classification is defined by adding up the time shown at Special Sections and penalty time (received during liaisons, invalid control Way Points and other penalties calculated in time units).
The competitor who achieves the shortest total time is announced a winner in the general classification, the next one being second, and so on. Classifications by category and group are build up in the same way.
10.2.2. In case competitors get the equal results during the stage, the winner shall be defined as a participant who have shown the best time on the last special section. Shall this be not enough to define the winner, the results of the previous special sections shall be taken into account etc.
Points earned for a place within the team (SSV) are awarded individually to each team member in accordance with the Scoring table.
Points are not awarded in Adventure category.
10.2.3. The points for classification at Can-Am X Race 2018 series are not awarded in the group in case if there are 3 or less competitors competing in this classification group.
10.2.4. In case there are 3 participants in the class at the stage, only one winner (winning team) will be announced at the stage, points are not awarded to the participants of Can-Am X Race series.
10.2.5. In case if there are less than three competitors competing in the classification group during the stage, the classification in the group is considered canceled.
10.2.6. The result of each competitor on every stage of Can-Am X Race series are the points, awarded in the classification group in accordance with the Scoring table.
10.3. Reclamations and appellations shall be filed and considered in accordance with RAF Sport Code.
11.1. The awards ceremony at the stages of Can-Am X Race series is conducted by the Organizing committee in the following classification groups and classes:
11.3. THE ABSENCE OF THE PRIZEWINNER AT THE PODIUM DURING AWARDS CEREMONY DEPRIVES HIM FROM THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE THE CUP, MEDAL AND DIPLOMA AS WELL AS PRIZE FUND. (THE COMPLIANCE WITH THE AWARDS PROTOCOL FOR THE STAGE AND THE SERIES IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL PRIZEWINNERS WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONS).
11.4. Sponsors reserve the right to award participants with prizes in other nominations upon approval of the Organizing committee of the series.
